|The Hog Wallow Classic observed its
installment in 2016 hosted by the Kewanee unit of the Illinois National
Here's how it works. Two full-sized courts are created at
Chautauqua Park in Kewanee, IL. Only instead of grass or
sand, the "floor" is 12 to 15 inches of our finest Henry County mud!
The result, as you can see from the photos and video, are two
teams, volleyballs and nets pretty much trashed by
the end of each match. Let's see you spike that ball NOW mud boy!
The entry proceeds go to the Kewanee Park District Youth Programs.
Plaques go to the 1st through 4th place winning teams. Portable
showers are set up on site for clean-up. Yeah, it doesn't do much
good. We're just trying to make you feel better about clean-up!
