| Nathan Young and Amanda
Kocis were the men's and women's champions in the annual Baker Park
Labor Day weekend Golf Tournament. Young won the 64th annual men's
tourney with a 36 hole total of 130 with matching rounds of 6-under 65.
Young tied with 10-time tourney champion Scott Briggs for the top spot
and emerged the winner in the tiebreaker. Kocis shot 78 to defeat to defeat 11-time tourney champion Amy St. John by two shots. |
| The Kewanee Pool and Spa Team won the top spot in the 25th annual Hog Fest Hog Wallow Classic at Chautauqua Park. Members of the team include: David Wager, Doug Wager, Steve Becker, Amanda Johnson, Kaleigh Hagerman, Nicole Palanos and Denise King. |

| Five young ladies between the ages of 3 and 8 proudly came up on stage to strut their pigtail stuff! 3 year old Izabella Wagner had the most pigtails with 55. 4 year old Kendal Bennison had a pigtail count of 17 and 4 year old Emily (last name not available) had 10. 3 year old Chloe Behnke received the judge's nod for prettiest pigtails while 6 year old Francesca (last name not available) had the longest pigtail at 17 inches. Each young lady received a goodie bag filled with assorted prizes! |
