The World's Largest Outdoor Pork Barbecue! On the green space at Third & Tremont Streets in downtown Kewanee. Friday 5 PM-9 PM; Saturday/Sunday 11 AM-9 PM; Monday 11 AM-5 PM (or earlier if we run out!) LONG serving lines at lunch & supper time each day.  PATIENCE needed. Hog Days Craft Show & Flea Market! West Park in Kewanee, IL. Friday afternoon until dusk; Saturday/Sunday 9 AM until dusk; Monday 9 AM until 5 PM. Allow plenty of browse time. Kewanee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Open House! 610 Park Avenue (across the street from West Park to the north) 1 PM-4 PM This was the very first house ever built in Kewanee still standing and restored to mint condition. Come see how we lived in 1854! A small donation at the end of your tour would be nice but not required.
The Hog Days Parade! Begins at East & 2nd Streets, moves west on 2nd Street to Main Street, south on Main Street to Central Boulevard and west on Central Boulevard to Grove Street where the parade ends. 2 PM Bring your lawn chairs for seating anywhere along the parade route. Western Illinois University Marching Leathernecks Perform! Main Stage at the People's National Bank lot, Third & Tremont Streets. 4:30 PM WIU is marching in this year's parade and this will be a special post parade concert on and in front of the Main Stage.
